About US

  1. ideal.fit is a metabolic health company whose primary mission is to dramatically improve the health status of humanity by reversing obesity. ideal.fit is doctor-designed and directed, and we have been refining our clinical protocols for over 20 years.

  2. We are not a Silicon Valley startup raising a bunch of cash in hopes of going public. We want long-term results for every ideal.fit member, so we designed our entire protocol to create enduring change. We know that small, simple steps sum to far greater than their individual parts.

  3. The ideal.fit protocol is designed to fit your life and your progress, not the other way around. This protocol is not about instant gratification; it’s about enduring change that will be reflected in all aspects of your life: Mind, Body, and Spirit.

  4. After years of seeing patient after patient in physical and emotional pain, a common theme occurred over and over; we were never going to rid patients of their symptoms without treating what was causing them in the first place; they were overweight and suffering from underlying metabolic inflammation.

  5. There are exceptions to this, but for the majority of patients a less then healthy lifestyle had led to being overweight, which often leads to being in pain, being tired all the time, being irritable, being depressed, the list goes on, and we wanted to help fix that. That is where the ideal.fit protocol comes in.

  6. Our focus has been on offering patients a healthy, relatively easy way to lose weight in a short amount of time, we wanted to present them with an option that would actually work and would serve as a “kickstart’ to what an entirely new lifestyle would potentially be.

  7. Once we got our patients losing their excess weight, we wanted them to keep it off. We wanted to improve their physical and mental well-being. We wanted a long-term solution. Out of this twenty-year quest, and over ten of thousand patients, we developed the ideal.fit protocol.

Please read our Privacy Policy for more details on the HIPAA-compliant of our practice.3.What are the medications that ideal.fit doctors prescribe?
The medications ideal.fit doctors prescribe in our Protocol are called GLP-1s (glucagon-like peptide-1s).
ideal.fit doctors prescribe a variety of GLP-1s: semaglutide, liraglutide, tirzepatide, and dulaglutide. These GLP-1s are often referred to by their brand name, so you may have heard of these medications as:- Wegovy®
- Ozempic®
- Mounjaro™
- Saxenda®
All GLP-1s are clinically tested, stimulant-free, and non-habit forming. GLP-1s address the underlying biology that is most important for weight loss, and help lower your set point, or the weight your body fights to stay at. GLP-1s are powerful, naturally occurring hormones made by your gut that send signals to your brain to decrease your appetite, improve your metabolic system, and regulate your digestion so you can feel full longer and maximize nutrient absorption. Many GLP-1s are taken via an injection under the skin into your fat, not muscle. Almost all patients report that the injections are nearly painless, quick, and easy. GLP-1s are self-administered either daily or weekly as directed.Regardless of which medication you’re prescribed, our commitment to all of our members remains the same—10% weight loss or your money back.We provide two separate components of care; the general coaching component is not considered healthcare and involves nonspecific recommendations, video recordings, protocol downloads, and general discussion is not to be considered HIPAA-compliant.The specific healthcare component, where specific neurobehavioral intake records are maintained, is HIPAA-compliant and complies with all relevant privacy laws. Please read our Privacy Policy for more details on the HIPAA-compliant of our practice.4.How do these GLP-1s work?
Glp-1 medications fight weight with biology
GLP-1s are different from older classes of prescription weight loss medications (like phentermine) because they work on key underlying metabolic pathways to support sustained weight loss. They're not just another quick fix. ideal.fit doctors prescribe a variety of GLP-1 medications, including semaglutide and liraglutide, which you may know under brand names like Wegovy®, Saxenda®, Ozempic®, or Mounjaro®.Reduce inflammationGLP-1s are clinically proven to reduce inflammation markers, leading to decreased inflammatory response and oxidative stress. CRP (C-reactive protein), a general inflammatory marker, is one marker we may follow during your Protocol.Shift set pointGLP-1s aid in shifting your body’s set point (the weight your body fights to maintain) by impacting areas in the brain—to help curb cravings, make you feel full faster, and increase your energy expenditure.Regulate digestionGLP-1s slow how quickly food moves from the stomach to the intestines. This helps you feel full for longer by regulating sugar absorption in the intestine.Improve metabolic functionGLP-1s regulate blood sugar levels by increasing insulin and decreasing glucagon—only when blood sugar levels are high. GLP-1s also improve whole-body energy metabolism by increasing the insulin sensitivity of muscle cells and regulating fat cell development.5. Will my insurance cover the FDA-approved medications? The majority of commercial insurance plans cover GLP-1 medications after the deductible is met, but each plan's coverage can be unique. We can help you access an initial GLP-1 medication prescription for $25-50/month or less (after any deductible is met). We’ve helped thousands of members access affordable GLP-1s.We provide two separate components of care; the general coaching component is not considered healthcare and involves nonspecific recommendations, video recordings, protocol downloads, and general discussion is not to be considered HIPAA-compliant.The specific healthcare component, where specific neurobehavioral intake records are maintained, is HIPAA-compliant and complies with all relevant privacy laws. Please read our Privacy Policy for more details on the HIPAA-compliant of our practice.6.Does the medication interact with my other medications?
Your ideal.fit physician will review your required lab work and entire health history and can answer any questions you might have about medication interactions during your initial video doctor visit.
GLP-1s (the medications that ideal.fit doctors prescribe) can be safely taken with most common prescription medications—including those for blood pressure, thyroid, and diabetes—and have no contraindications with other prescription or over-the-counter medications. Dosage adjustments of blood pressure and diabetes medications are often necessary as you lose weight and become metabolically healthy. We provide two separate components of care; the general coaching component is not considered healthcare and involves nonspecific recommendations, video recordings, protocol downloads, and general discussion is not to be considered HIPAA-compliant.The specific healthcare component, where specific neurobehavioral intake records are maintained, is HIPAA-compliant and complies with all relevant privacy laws. The FDA-approved medications that are a part of the Protocol are called GLP-1s, and are clinically tested, stimulant-free, and non-habit forming. Side effects are extremely rare, and most individuals who take a GLP-1 do not experience any.
For those who do, nausea is the most common, and this typically resolves over the first few weeks of being on the medication. If you do experience any side effects, you’ll be able to reach out to your Medical Team directly for support. In the most recent clinical trials, less than 5% of people discontinued GLP-1 medications because of side effects. However, in the incredibly rare case that you have side effects that make you ineligible to participate in the program, you’d be offered the choice to stay in the program with a non-GLP-1 medication called metformin (if clinically appropriate) or to partially refund your program based on the amount of time you were able to participate.11.
